Practical Training

The right qualification is important since the decision must be made within 30 seconds.

AAn important aspect in the design of our unique training tools was to assess the needs of the airport operators well. During implementation, simulators were designed so that the plane (could be tilted in two positions, and external-internal fires continuously simulated extreme conditions for those involved in education.

The Airbus simulation device is suitable for simulating the following events:
1. Fires in the passenger compartment (luggage compartment, toilet, kitchen, seats);
2. Cockpit fires;
3. Engine fire, including auxiliary engine (APU) fire;
4. Main chassis fire;
5. Cargo fire;
6. Extinguishing a so-called “fuel puddle” fire caused by a kerosene spill;
7. Fire-fighting practices for various types of fires generated during aircraft ground handling.

Members of specialist services involved in firefighting resolve the above-listed situations during the simulation of exercises with active, intense heat and smoke. During the trainings, the instructors can remotely monitor the techniques and coordination of the participants with the assistance of cameras installed internally and externally in the immediate vicinity of the simulation equipment. The resulting recordings facilitate the evaluation of the exercises, and the performed operations are analysed collaboratively with the students.
